High-tech User Experience Portal for one of the leading University
Harvard Medical School
Harvard Medical School (HMS) is the graduate medical school of Harvard University. It is located in Boston. Founded in 1782, HMS is one of the oldest medical schools in the United States and is consistently ranked 1st among research-oriented medical schools.
We followed the KANBAN methodology to manage and execute the system. We have listed features of the system as product backlogs and web development carried in a continuous delivery model.
We have adopted BDD approaches to bring collaboration between client-side team across the various branches and web development team along with seamless communications.
We broke down the entire development process using WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) methodologies to address almost all requirements of client-organization.
We have built five front-ends and a back-end using capabilities of WordPress and core PHP as well as APIs integrations.
Support & Maintenance
We have committed for long-term support and maintenance with a feasible plan sign up by the client.
The Pwd Evaluation
Harvard approached PWDigitas to create the solution for their visitor’s problem. Team at Harvard Medical School submitted their algorithms written in R and PWDigitas designed the middleware for the users to execute these algorithm without any computational knowledge. Despite the challenges of R language which is a language of statistical analysis only, team at PWDigitas designed the portal for visitors in just 4 weeks with easy to use User Interface.
For cloud, AWS heavy computing instance is used which is c4.8xlarge with Auto Scaling.
The Pwd Approach
We have allocated our top Business Analysts to analyze the client’s requirements. In the beginning, the software development team has analyzed the concept of hypothetically. Afterward, we have closely inspected the entire process and defined user stories.
Based on our findings, we have created flow diagrams for the entire workflow and plan the project development process by defining technical implementations.
Web architectures at PWD System have defined the entire back-end application architecture for database synchronization, and the Mobile App architecture with navigation, modules, and data interactions.
Wireframe & Prototypes
After several attempts and meetings with the client-side team, our Mobile App designers have prepared wireframes and prototypes citing all possible workflow diagrams, navigation, and data flows.
MILESTONES & DELIVERABLES
We have decided milestones and deliverables with the consent of the client and delivered entire solution in the continuous delivery model within the predefined timeline.
Now visitors can easily submit their study without worrying about running the EC2 instance on their own and other headache of algorithm setup. PWDigitas has also won the contract of Support & maintenance for years and more algorithms will be added as time grows.
Client has been very impressed by PWD System’s Service, Approach, Support and Quality of Delivery within the Time & Budget.
